On June 12, 2014, Amazon Prime announced that they would be offering over 1 million songs to their Amazon Prime membership. The e-commerce giant increased their annual subscription rate and in return, added music. Amazon Prime members now enjoy streaming music and videos along with free shipping.
This move has put Amazon as one of the largest (if not the largest) streaming music services with a global subscription in the tens of millions. The music industry, will no doubt, be transformed in the years to come because of the popularity of streaming music.

At Jessica's Piano Studio, we get excited about how other music studios operate. Our goal is to see music teachers get compensated well for teaching piano, guitar, voice, or any other instrument. At Jessica's Piano Studio, we are committed to providing for our teachers. The average annual teacher pay jumps to around $10,000 for teachers who have been with us for a year or more. Since our goal is teacher compensation, we have limited our locations so that we could focus our advertising dollars on the teachers we have. At Jessica's Piano Studio, we don't try to mask our objective. We are a studio that takes great pride in providing a great opportunity for our teachers.  Dan and Jessica Benitez are expecting on September 19.
More importantly, after having three precious (and very active) boys, they are finally expecting a little girl. Her name is Adele Joy!  Many of you have heard that Jessica (the owner and founder of Jessica's Piano Studio) is expecting! But what you haven't heard is the gender (we don't find out until April 11th)... For those who are wondering, this is not an April Fool's Day joke.
We have an idea for a name, but we would love to get some ideas from you. We think we are expecting a girl :) Feel free to pick out names that have a musical idea. Any thoughts? If you have not heard Sister Cristina Scuccia, you need to take a moment and listen. She has an absolutely amazing voice. I guess I just don't think of nuns this way. In my defense, the judges were also shocked. I love the moment when the judges pound the button only to find a nun singing. They definitely were not expecting to see her up there.
The Piano Guys will knock your socks off with their rendition of "Let it go". They mix Vivaldi with "Let it go". What you get is a classic version of the popular Disney song. If you get a chance, you should take a look at the "Behind the Scenes". The Piano Guys know how to put on a show. Not only do they produce splendid music, but they are exceptional entertainers. Sit back and enjoy!

Even if you don't have time for a full-length tour, you should stop by next time your in South Tampa. At Jessica's Piano Studio, we love to combine music and learning. This is why we love Veritasium on Youtube. Veritasium is a science channel that uses experimentation to prove scientific points. Currently, they have over 1.2 million subscribers to their Youtube channel.
Occasionally, they use their platform for teaching purposes. This video explains the process and the outcome of atoms bonding. We thought some of our music students would enjoy this.
